One of our priorities when planning our extension was to hide the fact that our house is a red bricka, to get ride of the red bricka horror story, first of all we decided to get ride of the 3 step front facade of the house which you can see in my post below and second was to install floor to ceiling windows and third, cover those brickes with render, hah ha to those red bricks!!
So the plan is, new extension in a stained black ply cladding and the original part of the house, rendered and painted white with a light grey metal roof.
Ok so my house ain't going to look like any of the above images but you get a bit of an idea.
