Like you, I have such fond memories of running through the sprinkler as a kid. We don't have lawn for Isobel to do this though. Damn drought proof gardens!
I also remember putting the long green soaker hose down our sloping lawn and doing the old slip-n-slide on black plastic.

Oh! My favorite thing as a child - thanks to living in the desert! I simply can't wait for my little guy to be old enough to run around!
