Hi Mel, (I catch up with your blog in Google Reader). That's so funny because I was going to post about this too!!! I ate my first banana the other day and was SO excited and thought how odd it was to be excited about something so simple but yes, I have been waiting for the prices to come down. I remember seeing on someones blog recently a photograph of a shopfront with a sign saying something to the effect of 'no cash or bananas left on premises' ha, ha...
Aren't we all celebrating! It is the only fruit my four year old will eat so I have been buying them all Winter with looks from other shoppers like, "You must be rich!" I have even had to justify myself to other playgroup mums that I am vegetarian and hence the money saved on meat I spend on bananas! But the real splurge this week is the fact that I have hidden two bananas away to make banana cake!!!! Enjoy! (*o*)/
