ok so i'm putting off going outside the day looks wonderful actually the best day we have had in months but i know it will be freezing out there...
...sitting here staring out the window, i can't say enough have much i love floor to ceiling windows, it's like being outside with the coziness of inside.

i took these photos 3 weeks ago and held off on showing them cause i was hoping to take some better photos or at least have less crap laying around the place but hah that hasn't happened.
we are now water tight and locked up, which is a milestone and i'm hoping the inside of the house moves a lot quicker than the outside, fingers crossed! but here is the back extension, i'm over the moon with the outcome!!

first it was going to be polished concrete, then it got change to bluestone tiles and now i'm thinking concrete again, why am i so indecisive?

i wish i could hang my latest purchase but i'll have to wait a few more months. i bought the rain print (how appropriate) and my sister bought the lovely red balloon print.

having no back door became rather annoying even if it was only for about a week and a bit, so today we broke through to the back extension. this was a spare bedroom which i used as a studio, it will remain as a studio with a few structural changes. a small bit of the room will accommodate the kitchen pantry and since there is no window in this room i decided to have it completely open to the hall way, i think this will make it feel bigger, and also a skylight has been installed for natural lighting. i plan on having a built-in desk with maybe cupboards above?
